Pet Friendly Classic Victorian Cottage Across from Dunes and Beach. Situated just across from the dunes of Cape Avenue Beach is the Sea Dog Cottage. Our home is one of the “Five Sisters” which are five nearly identical Victorian Cottages built in 1876. The home is located just steps from both the Cape Avenue and the Surf Avenue beach accesses. A sandy path winds through the trees and over the dunes to the pristine beaches of Cape May Point. In the evenings, watch beautiful sunsets as you look to the right over the Delaware Bay. We love to travel with our pets, and know that many of you do also, so we decided to make our home one of the few pet friendly rentals in Cape May Point. The house includes lots of outside living space with a wrap around screened in porch, a second floor wrap around balcony, and a back yard patio area with dining furniture and gas grill for your outdoor dining and recreation. The pet friendly back yard is completely fenced in and includes an outdoor pet washing area for the dogs and a outside shower for the rest. The first floor includes a dining room that seats 8, a full service kitchen with dishwasher and laundry area, a full bathroom with tub and shower, and a living room that opens up to the screened in porch. The home has most of its original pine plank wood flooring, with floor to ceiling walk out windows that open up to the porch and balcony. Be advised that the stairs to the 2nd floor are original and are steep. Please use caution and both railings as you go up or down. The first floor living room has a door that can be closed for privacy and includes a queen sized pullout sofa for extra sleeping accommodations. Upstairs you will find three bedrooms and one and a half bathroom. Enjoy the sounds of the surf from the front bedroom, which opens up to the private second floor balcony. This is a spacious bedroom that includes a half bathroom. Down the hall are two more bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other with a double and a twin bed) and a full bathroom. All three bedrooms and the living room are equipped with flat screened TV’s that stream Comcast Cable TV. Every room in the home is cooled and heated with individual split level units. Xfinity wireless internet is available for your entertainment. Also available for your convenience is a washer and dryer, and outside shower, and plenty of free street parking. The house is steps from the beach, a short walk to many other Cape May Point attractions, and a five minute drive to all of Cape May’s restaurants, shopping, and attractions.
